Marcy Industries is located in Marion, Ohio. Our facility covers 146,000 square feet. A portion of this building carries historic significance. It was built by the U.S. Army as part of the Scioto Ordnance Plant in 1942 to manufacture bombs and ammunition for the the U.S. effort during World War II. This building currently houses our warehousing, assembly, and contract packaging operations. This is also where we conduct our food service packaging, warehousing and distribution business.
Marcy Industries has been able to maintain a growth oriented path despite regional economic conditions. Through key ownership decisions, and the willingness to diversify into different areas, the company's financial health continues to be robust. Marcy Industries is positioned to grow significantly and can assure our customers that we will be around as long as they need us to serve them.
The owner and founder of Marcy Industries, Dan Shew, is a service disabled veteran. Dan founded the company in 1985. From humble beginnings in a small shop in Delaware, Ohio to our current operation, Dan has steered a course for steady growth. Dan has been recognized as an employer of the year by the American Legion on two separate occasions. He has been an advocate for hiring veterans and has been active with the American Legion to promote that cause.
